ITC Level 1 is a 5-day course for becomming a Level 1 thermographer. This training will be given in Dutch by a Level III certified instructor.
This Course prepares the student for qualification as a cat. 1 certified thermographer. The participant will learn about the basics of infrared, how to operate an infrared camera under different conditions and for various purposes, how to appropriately judge a measurement situation in the field and how to identify potential error sources. After the course, the participant will be able to undertake infrared inspections following written guidelines and to report the results of this inspection.
Besides a theoretical introduction to infrared, you will learn during the course how to obtain quality data by using a thermographic camera. You will learn how to measure temperatures the correctly, taking into account factors such as emissivity, reflectance and distance. It will show you how an infrared image correctly interpret by theoretical knowledge, but also on the basis of a series of practical tests. Additionally, you will learn to avoid some costly mistakes by example, to know the difference between a real "hot spot" and reflection. You will also learn how to use the software correctly so that you can make a decent inspection report. The course is given in Dutch, by a Level III certified instructor.
